From humble beginnings in South Dakota—planning get-togethers with siblings in the “city” over an hour away—to organizing a luncheon for 12 sorority sisters, and eventually coordinating a multi-day, cross-country conference for more than 2,400 people, Cathy has done it all. With a strong background in event setup and production, she is not afraid of projectors, slide shows, or the behind-the-scenes logistics that make events run smoothly.
Cathy has stepped in just six weeks before a wedding in Washington, DC, coordinating everything from Las Vegas. She has helped plan a wedding in Washington state for a couple in Minnesota—while working from Massachusetts. She prides herself on noticing the little details that aren’t actually little.

Cathy is an Event & Operations Coordinator at Bridgewater State University. She has worked in higher education across the country, including roles at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Brandeis University; Roger Williams University; and the University of Iowa.
Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Ethics & Value Studies from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and a Master of Education degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Cathy and her wife, Carolyn, spoil an adorable rescue kitty named Lorelei. They live in Attleboro, Massachusetts, where they are learning how to garden. Outside of work, Cathy is a calligrapher and serves as treasurer of Masscribes, Inc. She is also an avid reader.
